Joe and I had a great time at the annual Mercy Hospital Ball. The best part about it was that RN Patricia Amoroso, a nursing educator here at Mercy, was honored for her 30 years of dedicated service to Mercy Hospital. Pat is an amazing educator and well deserves this honor. I am very proud and honored that I get to work with Pat every day.
Here is part of the Bishop’s address: “The Sister Mary Nadine Casey, CIJ Award will be presented to Patricia Amoroso, RN, BSN, who began her career at Mercy as a nurse in 1981. Over the years she has held various positions within Mercy and currently serves in the Nursing Education Department. It is fitting that she receives the Sister Mary Nadine Casey, CIJ Award as she is an outstanding example of a member of the Mercy family who personifies the values of the Congregation of the Infant Jesus and Mercy Medical Center – compassion, respect and mission.”
Also, Joe and I got to meet William Murphy, the Bishop of Rockville Centre, here on Long Island, NY.
