Community Service at St. Mary of the Isle RC Church

Joe and I had a great time today at St. Mary’s Church, in Long Beach, on Long Island. We were volunteering with the staff from Mercy Medical Center and Catholic Health Services of LI. We were all there providing flu shots, glucose testing, and blood pressure testing for the parishioners of St. Mary’s and local residents.
Career Tip: Volunteering for community service is an easy way to add to your resume, and also a way to impress your hospital and co-workers. In addition, for new nurses, it is a great hands-on way to learn more about dealing with the public. Continue reading
